Spring is finally here! It brings us light, warmth, and fresh energy 🌸 but also challenges for our skin.
I know the feeling all too well: my skin often reacts sensitively to the warmer temperatures with redness and blemishes.
That's why I would like to share with you a few personal tips on how we can gently and lovingly prepare our skin for spring.
Time for a gentle cleansing 🌼
After the cold winter months, sensitive skin needs gentle and effective cleansing that does not strain the delicate skin barrier but rather soothes it.
Use mild cleansing products without high-foaming surfactants and free of fragrances and alcohol. A cleansing milk, for example, combined with argan oil for a double cleansing action is very gentle.
I love a little ritual and treat myself to a cooling and clarifying mask once a week. It also acts like a mild exfoliator and is much gentler than mechanical peels for sensitive skin.
light moisturizer for a fresh glow 🌼
As the weather gets warmer, our skin needs light, moisturizing care – especially if it tends to be sensitive.
I recommend products with hyaluronic acid, hydrosols, or glycerin, which provide deep hydration and soothe the skin. Adding a drop of facial oil on top will lock in moisture and protect it.
Enjoy the first rays of sunshine wisely 🌼
The first rays of sunshine can be a real challenge for sensitive skin. It's as if the skin is suddenly jolted awake after winter and has to adjust to the more intense UV radiation.
A gentle approach is key here. UV-A and UV-B protection is essential! Mineral sunscreen filters block sunburn immediately, while chemical filters must be applied at least 30 minutes beforehand. Protective accessories like hats, sunglasses, and shady spots are our best friends in spring.
These sunscreens from Madara and Sensolar are very good for my sensitive skin.
Feel-good moments for body & mind 🌼
A foot bath can be a wonderful energy and detox boost in spring, as it supports the body in a simple and effective way. The warm water stimulates circulation, and the essential oils have a relaxing effect and invigorate the senses.
Be kind to yourself and your skin. I hope my personal tips help you enjoy the season to the fullest.
