Questions & Answers
Oil for oily skin?
“If - and - also with Skincare + results...
We often hear this objection from customers at the beginning. Two months later, they thank themselves for trying it. It sounds totally weird at first, but it makes sense.
Look: Your skin produces protective sebum to keep itself velvety, smooth, and moisturized. If you have very oily skin, it produces especially high levels. This makes you shine like the sun, makes you feel like you haven't showered in two days, and promotes breakouts because your sebaceous glands constantly become clogged.
The advice is often: "Give your already oily skin something light like a fluid or serum." However, this can dry out the skin and stimulate sebum production even more. The skin often absorbs these light textures.
doesn’t really see it as “help” and sticks to her program.
But if you use oil, it's like a big stop sign for your skin and it feels sufficiently moisturized from the outside and doesn't feel the need to add more moisture itself.
However, it's important to use the right oil, because many oils clog pores and cause a dense array of impurities. Argan oil is not one of them and is proven to be well tolerated—especially for your very sensitive and irritated skin.
Why does bepure cost more?
The question stands and falls here: “Expensive” compared to what?
"Some people want cosmetics that are good for their wallet. Others want cosmetics that are good for their skin. Bepure is for those who want both."
Your new skincare contains only high-quality ingredients (and lots of them). For example, Intensive Daycare Facial Oil is made from 98% organic argan oil. Creams consist primarily of water and ingredients that combine the water and oil (emulsifiers) and make the cream smooth (consistency agents), etc.
Some products contain up to 85% water! Since water eventually goes bad, it's often accompanied by alcohols, preservatives, and all sorts of chemicals (which then make up a large portion of the other 15%). The tiny remainder is the advertised active ingredient (a bit like those tiny crumbs of "raspberry in fruit muesli" that you'd love more of).
And not only is it a trick with water... it's also not good for your skin because it dries it out.
Many ingredients are also artificially treated at low cost, which further reduces their active ingredient content. Imagine if you were to cook vegetables for hours: They might still taste good, but many of the vitamins are gone.
To achieve the desired effect, you need to apply a lot of the product and it might last for 2-3 weeks.
With Bepure, you may spend more initially… but you're investing in genuine, chemical-free active ingredients, and thus in priceless, irreplaceable skin health in the long run. What's more, the rich oils sometimes last for months. So, at the end of the day, you're saving money and skin problems!
Will my skin really tolerate this? I'm afraid to switch, and I have so many different skin problems...
“This is not a question we are now gradually confronting… Bepure was founded on this basis.”
Many of our customers tell us that their skin is becoming increasingly annoyed and less likable. Some of them are still bothered by skin problems from their youth (especially every 4 weeks...) and are
A little older age is then overwhelmed with additional problems.
Many people experience a rollercoaster ride with their skin after pregnancy or during their later years. Some areas are extremely oily, everything around the eyes is dry and irritated... Small pimples still appear around the chin, and the cheeks no longer look as firm...
Sometimes you feel like you're plastered over and sometimes you just want to apply cream three times a day...
Many also know the stomach pain, a care
to find a product that is compatible with the makeup - both visually and
health-related...
And they're afraid to change their skincare routine even though the current one isn't really helping. Many are happy if their skin simply doesn't react allergically or irritated. Improving their skin's appearance is only a secondary consideration...
If you do try something because it was a recommendation from a friend or someone raved about it on social media… the disappointment afterwards is all the greater...
Bepure's gentle care is designed to address precisely these issues and concerns, so you don't have to worry about them. Feel free to browse our reviews if you're still unsure.
Since this is my first time using skin care oils, I'm unsure how best to apply them to my skin?
Always applied to slightly damp skin, the oils are absorbed more quickly. The damp skin acts as a carrier, and you can individually measure the number of drops your skin needs. Argan oil belongs to the category of drying oils and, due to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids, absorbs particularly quickly without leaving a greasy feeling or shine.
Are all bepure products vegan?
Yes, all bepure products are vegan, meaning no ingredients of animal origin are used in their production.
Should I store the natural cosmetic oils in the refrigerator to keep them fresher for longer or protect them from light?
No, that's not absolutely necessary. Thanks to the special MIRON violet glass bottles, all bepure products stay fresh even in a humid bathroom and don't need to be protected from sunlight.
How long do bepure products last?
When unopened, our products have a best before date of between 18 and 24 months.
According to the European Cosmetics Regulation EC 1223/2009, which has largely applied to Switzerland since 2017, every cosmetic product with a shelf life of < 30
Months with the best before date clearly marked on the packaging.
The MHD indicates the shortest (i.e. minimum) period in which the product retains its
original condition and full functionality.
The best before date is not an expiration date, as is often wrongly assumed.
The product does not automatically lose its effectiveness after the expiry date.
The product can still be used after the expiry date, but the effect will decrease
gradually. If the consistency or smell of the product changes noticeably, it should be discarded.
Where are the products produced?
All bepure products are developed, tested, and manufactured according to our specifications in collaboration with our producers in certified laboratories in Morocco, Switzerland, and Germany. They are bottled and packaged in Switzerland.
Which countries does bepure deliver to?
We deliver our products within Switzerland and Liechtenstein via www.bepure.ch , and to parts of the EU via www.bepureskincare.com .
Specific product questions & answers
Are bepure facial oils also suitable for sensitive or oily skin?
The main ingredient in our facial oils is argan oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, non-greasy, and helps balance sebum production. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is very well tolerated by both sensitive and oily skin.
My facial skin is currently prone to impurities and dry. I can't tolerate creams, as they cause my skin to sweat. Can I use cosmetic oils all the time?
The cause of dry (and/or dehydrated) and simultaneously blemished skin can be a compromised barrier function, which promotes blemishes and inflammation. The skin must first regenerate so that it can once again fulfill its natural protective function.
1. Use a mild cleanser, free of alcohol and foaming surfactants. In the morning, using plenty of lukewarm water and a clean face cloth is sufficient. In the evening, wash your face with oil or a mild cleanser. A gentle clay mask once or twice a week will absorb excess oil.
2. Provide the skin with sufficient moisture from the inside and out, such as with a moisturizing serum or cream.
3. Lock in moisture with INTENSIVE DAYCARE Facial Oil. This oil is ideal for blemished skin because it protects against environmental influences, has anti-inflammatory properties, and promotes cell renewal. The oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, and flavonoids. Moist skin absorbs the oil well without clogging pores.
I have rosacea and acne. Is argan oil a suitable product for me?
Argan oil doesn't clog pores. INTENSIVE DAYCARE with argan oil and rose regulates sebum production and is ideal for use even on blemished skin. Because the facial oil is very gentle on the skin, it is ideal for sensitive and problem skin (eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, etc.).
If I apply INTENSIVE DAYCARE and ROYAL NIGHT SERUM to cleansed skin, do I still need a day or night cream?
Generally, no other skincare products are necessary. Depending on your skin's needs, such as very dry skin, dry patches, or the time of year, you can mix a few drops of either INTENSIVE DAYCARE or ROYAL NIGHT SERUM with 4 drops of Soothing Nectar.
Can I simply use my normal cosmetic products after using INTENSIVE DAYCARE facial oil, or do I need to pay attention to something special?
For very dry skin, mix 1-2 drops of INTENSIVE DAYCARE Facial Oil with 4 drops of Soothing Nectar. Follow with your usual cosmetic products.
For all other skin types, makeup, liquid foundation, or powder can be applied directly after applying INTENSIVE DAYCARE. Powder creates a silky, powdery texture.
The great thing about this oil is that it doesn't leave a greasy shine, but rather a silky, healthy glow. It mattifies and prevents redness.
Is the INTENSIVE DAYCARE day oil also suitable for overnight use?
INTENSIVE DAYCARE contains 98% certified organic argan oil, which has a very balanced composition of oleic acid, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid, as well as an exceptional amount of schottenol and tocopherols (vitamin E). Various studies have clearly demonstrated the cell-stimulating effect of schottenol, making it well-tolerated for overnight care.
However, skincare products work best overnight, so the ideal time to apply them is before bedtime.
For optimal skin regeneration overnight, we recommend ROYAL NIGHT SERUM , as the exclusive combination of argan oil and prickly pear seed oil has a strong antioxidant effect.
Free radicals are neutralized, thus counteracting cell deterioration and the skin aging process. Even dry and mature skin is provided with sufficient moisture overnight. The next morning, the skin is nourished and velvety soft.
What do I use to remove makeup?
In principle, you can also cleanse your skin with oil (the so-called oil cleansing method), as cleansing with oil is gentle and effective on the skin. The principle "oil removes oil" means that not only makeup but also dirt and excess sebum are removed. The advantage of oil is that it is very gentle on the skin because it contains no surfactants or emulsifiers.
Many facial cleansers containing alcohol and surfactants do, on the one hand, remove makeup and dirt from the skin. On the other hand, they also largely remove our skin's important and protective oil layer. This oil layer protects our skin from external influences and water loss. If this layer is missing, water can be lost and the skin can dry out more quickly. Susceptibility to clogged pores and impurities increases.
To maintain the skin's natural protective layer, the sebaceous glands produce sebum. Oil, in turn, effectively yet gently removes excess oil from the skin without disrupting sebum production.
For cleansing or removing makeup from the eye area, we recommend PURE ARGAN argan oil. This fragrance-free oil is very mild and well-tolerated for the sensitive eye area.
You can find further information and step-by-step instructions for cleaning with oil on our blog.
Can I use body oil on my face?
We recommend not using body oils containing fragrance on your face. According to the Cosmetics Regulation, fragrances (essential oils or perfume) may be used in higher concentrations in body care products, which can irritate sensitive facial skin. Our pure argan oil is safe for use on your body and face.
If you enjoy fragrant facial care, we recommend our facial oils to pamper your skin just as much. Royal Night Serum contains a special blend of five potent active ingredients: argan oil, prickly pear seed oil, and pomegranate seed oil, as well as cranberry seed and evening primrose oil. It nourishes and regenerates dry and mature skin.
