Was Du bei SENSIBLER Haut tun kannst

What you can do for SENSITIVE skin

Flawless skin from head to toe? Quite the opposite. Did you know that more and more people are complaining about sensitive skin? Dermatological studies indicate that 50% to 90% of respondents have it.

How do I recognize sensitive skin?

Dryness, redness, itching, tightness, or even rashes are often signs of sensitive skin. The skin is rarely oily. The condition may worsen in phases but may also improve on its own.

Sensitive skin reacts particularly strongly to external stimuli such as cold, heat, or certain skincare products. Allergies, as well as hormonal fluctuations or increased stress, can throw the skin out of balance and cause sensitive skin.

The positive thing is that sensitive skin is usually only a temporary condition. The causes of sensitive skin can vary. However, the underlying cause is always a compromised barrier function of the skin, which promotes inflammation and irritation:

How do I care for sensitive skin?

You can treat sensitive skin once the cause is identified. The skin must first regenerate so that it can once again fulfill its natural protective function.

Until then, "less is more" is better for your skin:

1. Use skincare products with as few ingredients as possible. This gives your skin a chance to process the ingredients and you can gradually find out which ingredients your skin might react to with irritation.

2. Follow the minimalist principle when it comes to the number of skincare products you use. Use fewer products but with appropriate ingredients, such as those with anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Sensitive skin benefits from plant oils with a high oleic acid content, healing plant butters , or hydrosols.

Skincare: Pour 5-6 pumps of PURE ARGANOIL into your palms and massage the oil into dry, uncleansed skin until makeup and oil dissolve. Then, moisten the FACE CLOTH with warm (not hot) water and gently remove the oil. Seal in the moisture with a few spritzes of BALANCING TONIC and a small amount of MIRACLE BEAUTY Face & Eye Balm .

What is better to leave out

1. Avoid preservatives, fragrances and artificial ingredients in your care products.

2. Cleansing products containing aggressive surfactants (high foaming) or "sulfates" in cleansing products dry out the skin severely.

3. Avoid skincare products that contain alcohol as the second or third ingredient in the INCI list of ingredients.

4. Water that's too hot damages the skin barrier. Use only lukewarm water when caring for your skin.

5. Use pure products without essential oils or products with mild essential oils.

6. Skincare products containing emulsifiers are counterproductive for maintaining an intact barrier function. Most creams contain emulsifiers. Instead, use a natural facial oil, such as INTENSIVE DAYCARE or our MIRACLE BEAUTY face and eye balm, which do not contain emulsifiers.

Tip: Sensitive skin can also be genetic. If you've been suffering from sensitive skin for a long time and there's no improvement in sight, you should see a dermatologist .
