combination skin

Combination skin has both dry and oily areas and is often highly reactive to external influences. Your skin has two completely different characteristics and needs.

The causes of combination skin

Excessive amounts of sebum are produced in the oilier areas. Conversely, too little sebum is produced in the drier areas, resulting in a lack of moisture.

How to recognize combination skin

  • An oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin).
  • The cheeks are often drier than the T-zone, which can sometimes feel tight.
  • Enlarged pores in the T-zone, possibly also blemishes.
  • Often reacts strongly to external influences.

Care tips for combination skin

1. Treat the different parts separately and according to their condition.

2. Lukewarm water is gentler on the skin than hot water.

3. Change your towel, washcloth and pillow regularly.

4. A mild, moisturizing care + protection keeps sebum production in balance and the skin elastic.

5. The oily areas also need moisture.

6. Mix a clarifying clay mask 1-2 times a week to remove excess oil, unclog pores and promote wound healing (in case of pimples and inflammation).
